Praise be to Allah, Who answers supplications and has mercy on His servants, and may blessings and peace be upon our noble Prophet, who taught us how to supplicate our Lord and call upon Him.
Supplication is the very essence of worship, which is nothing other than the relationship that a Muslim maintains with his Lord through remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du'â') addressed to Him. Indeed, the main motivation, objective and essence of acts of worship in Islam are dhikr and supplication.
So, we all invoke Allah, Praise be to Him, but do we do it correctly? Do we do everything possible to ensure that our supplications are answered by our Lord?
Like any act of worship in Islam, supplication has rules that the supplicant must respect, etiquette that they are recommended to observe, obstacles that they must overcome, and errors that they must avoid. Only in this way will our supplications not be rejected by our Lord, who will accept them and thus answer them.
