Hypocrisy is a disastrous disease, a serious perversion, and a spreading evil. If a person does not like being a hypocrite, he may unwittingly fall into hypocrisy, especially so-called practical or minor hypocrisy. The main characteristic of a hypocrite is that he pretends to be sincere while knowing he is lying; he claims to be trustworthy while knowing he is a traitor; he claims to keep his promises while breaking them. He slanders while knowing they are false, because his entire ethic is based on imposture and deception.
